Carry love in your heart and stories in your soul…

One of my greatest joys in life is capturing people’s stories - through dialogue, writing, photography, you name it! It makes my heart sing to see how much people can love and be loved. While I am available for a range of ceremonies, my main focus is weddings. I have officiated for over 100 couples now, and everyone is welcome here. I can’t wait to get to know you and your story xx

Born and bred in Auckland, I grew up surrounded by whānau, with summers split between Whangapoua and the Mount. My childhood was a beautiful adventure, consisting of Mr Whippy, hide and seek, jam sessions, doing the dishes and many, many hands of cards. My love of the ocean started young, and it is the place where I feel simultaneously most alive and at peace.

I moved to Christchurch in 2011, where I met my husband, Dan, while studying to become a teacher at the University of Canterbury. I’ve been teaching in primary schools since 2014, including two years in London while we were on our OE. Dan and I love experiencing different cultures, so embraced travelling around the UK and Europe at every opportunity, before moving back to Christchurch at the end of 2018. Our wedding in February 2019 was everything we dreamed of, and the perfect reflection of our relationship. It is featured on the Bride and Groom website and the Perspectives Photo + Cinema website if you are interested (pics with my gorgeous Dad below)! We have two beautiful littlies - Māia and Tīpene.

In terms of lifestyle, I love being outdoors - swimming, scuba diving, yoga, walking, biking, and playing, coaching and umpiring netball. I have a passion for The Arts, with experience in choirs, chapel band, jazz ballet, and twelve shows in the North Canterbury Musical Society’s ‘Aida'… though nothing beats snuggling up with a good book! My husband and I are also proud to be learning Te Reo Māori through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
